What is Sandy Hook Yacht Club Estates?

Sandy Hook Yacht Club Estates is a thriving private seaside community located on the shores of Cultus Bay at the southern tip of Whidbey Island. Home to hundreds of families, boaters, and property owners, Sandy Hook offers a rare blend of natural beauty, strong neighborhood spirit, and resort‑style amenities. Our resident‑only marina provides permanent moorage and year‑round access to Puget Sound, while our parks, heated seasonal swimming pool, tennis and pickleball courts, clubhouse, and private beaches create a relaxed coastal lifestyle enjoyed by full‑time residents and seasonal homeowners alike. Established in the early 1960s, Sandy Hook continues to operate under the covenants and bylaws set forth in its original articles of incorporation, guided by a volunteer Board of Trustees dedicated to keeping the community prosperous, solvent, and welcoming. Volunteerism remains at the heart of who we are — from board service and beautification projects to maintaining shared spaces and organizing our beloved annual Fun Day, it is the commitment of our members that makes Sandy Hook such a special place to live. As President of the Board of Trustees, I can say that supporting a community its members are proud to call home is the most rewarding part of this work.
